Beachmere Visitor Information

Beachmere, which is situated close to the mouth of Caboolture River, is a seaside township in the state of Queensland. Immediately fronting Deception Bay, the community is located some 38 kilometres north of the Central Business District of Brisbane, the state capital. The area is believed to have been named after a strip of sandy beach set among a marshy countryside. It has an estimated population of 3,597 people.

Settled in the early 1900s, Beachmere is part of the Local Government Area of the Moreton Bay Region. The township is represented in the Legislative Assembly of Queensland by the Electoral District of Pumicestone and in the Australian House of Representatives by the Federal Division of Longman. The community's neighbouring localities are Burpengary, Caboolture, Godwin Beach, Morayfield, and Ningi.

Over the years since its initial settlement, Beachmere has grown to become one of Queensland's seaside holiday destinations. Its geographical location makes the township an ideal spot for boating and fishing. Also, the community's residents can easily enjoy regular periods of relaxation courtesy of the parks in the immediate area, such as the A and M Lehman Park, Beachmere Conservation Park, and Clayton Park.
